Wow I might finish this tomorrow. The writing style is so great and I’m reminded how much I love short story writing. It also feels very beach-read-y for that reason I think. This narrative is so well navigated.

This is so fascinating. I’m so glad it’s from the perspective of someone who disapproves 😂 not sure I could handle the other way around

Achilles was taken by Odysseus after he was disguised as a girl for a long time. This is SO GOOD

Ooooooo this is getting so good! Patroclus kissed Achilles and now Achilles is leaving to train with Chiron.

Patroclus has been exiled from his city because he killed a boy very gruesomely but seemingly on accident. Now Achilles is being very…sus. Looks like he wants to impress him.

Apparently his friends prediction that he’ll get women comes true but his other manifestation of becoming a painter hasn’t. He’s now run away from Flatfish’s house and is now with Horiki.

This is so cool!! I love the perspective. Yozo is currently a child in about middle school age, and he is living his life as an alien clown. He doesn’t feel like a person, so he observes people’s behaviors to see what they like so they won’t question him - and this solution happens to be humor. So he’s refined his humor to please people so they won’t see that he is actually very disconnected from everything

He is so plagued by police surrounding him and staring at him for no reason. I’m so sad for him. He gets in spirals and it’s so hard 🖤

This is gorgeous. I am sad for the characters because I want them to work out but it’s so hard. I want them to be happy so much. This feels very real.

It was hyped but I still didn’t know what to expect. Very sweet, honey-like words. You can tell how carefully constructed this was already ooooooooooo 😆😆

Vin had hemalurgy the entire time via her earring. That’s wild. Also preservation is the mists. Goradel died unfortunately by Ruin Marsh. I think Vin left Marsh alive. Ruin’s body is made from atium. Also this story has now gotten to a point of biblical parallel. It possibly had the entire time but I only just now realized it. Sazed is researching the terris religion with the first generation of kandra.

Ruin wanted atium for whatever reason. Marsh is acting as ruins voice. Yomen has now sided with Vin. Elend is following Preservation’s order to not attack Fadrex. The first generation of kandra are transformed feruchemists who were with Rashek on his journey 1000 years ago. The homeland is basically the pits of hathsin. The koloss can be directly controlled by Ruin and ripped from Elend and vin.

Spook’s Kelsier was Ruin and once again I’m disappointed in myself for not realizing it until this chapter. Or at least getting suspicious. Like. What the heck. Spook took the shard out of his arm that I had completely forgotten was there. That’s how he got pewter. Obviously. How didn’t I see this. What the heck.

I feel like I’ve been confused for centuries Omg. So Preservation and Ruin are gods. Preservation only preserves things and Ruin only destroys them. So they made a deal to create sentient life if it would be destroyed eventually. Elend got severely depressed and Preservation used the last of his life to pick him back up and give 2% hope.

Spook has no game with beldre but he sure is trying. Vin is stuck with Yomen without metals and he wants to execute her for murdering Lord Ruler which is certainly a method.
(Also I’m unsure if this is life or interest based but this section is more difficult for me to get through. The changing POVs are getting difficult for me to follow all the time).

Vin got to the last cache but Ruin showed up in the form of Reen and has been keeping her down there for days without Elend knowing if she’s alive. That was very spooky. There’s a lot of in-fighting within Elend’s army based on who got sick from the mists which is very weird. Vin thinks that Zane talking to God was just Ruin influencing him.

Koloss are made of people via hemalurgy like obligators. Kandra are also made of mistwraiths via hemalurgy. They’re all connected. The percentages feels like it’s close. 16

Also Spook became Survivor of the Flames? Whoa.

In part 3. Elend and vin went to a ball in Fadrex City like the iconic couple they are. Sazed, Breeze, and Spook are working together to figure out how to fix the Citizen in Urteau. TenSoon is trying to incite a revolution and ran out of his trial.

Elend is making his troops immune to the mists but Demoux was affected by them. Spook is becoming a savant in Urteau and likes the Citizen’s sister. Urteau has become the most racist since the Citizen and his army are allomancers😂💀

Elend is planning to take Urteau. Everyone is sad. Spook is in Urteau trying to be a better teammate because he is currently the least cool of the crew.

TenSoon is trying to turn all kandra to serve Vin indefinitely. Sazed is very sad and Vin is trying to get him outside so he feels better.

Apparently lord ruler left caches of food and allomantic clues in basements that only allomancers can get to. Marsh is being controlled by Ruin. TenSoon is being tried for his betrayal of the kandra government’s law to not tell humans that they have a weakness (and he told vin vaguely but enough for her to figure it out in the last book). Vin is now 20 I think.

Oh god the chaos. The city is dying and going to fall. Sazed thinks vin is the hero of ages. Elend stabbed his ex-friend jastes lekal who is marching an army of koloss to luthadel. Elend took down a koloss all by himself. Zane says that lord demoux is the spy. Vin got angry with Zane who instigated her to kill a lot of cett’s army. Now cett has left the city but no one thinks that vin is mentally stable.

Lord demauox is suspected by vin to be the kandra spy. Elend got removed as king. King cett is staying in luthadel now because he threatened to take the throne via nomination lol. Vin found out that Zane is Elend’s brother. Noorden is an ex-obligator who works for Elend now.

Elend is using vin to scare straff. I’m suspicious that Dox is the spy.

Vin and Elend are about to meet with straff venture. Tindwyl has given Elend more of a hold on his title. Breeze had affairs with lord cett’s daughter and now she’s in luthadel being an insufferable noble.

Elend got a fashion upgrade. Luthadel is under seige as intended. Vin is concerned about the Deepness warning of Lord Ruler. Zane is a bingo bongos rogue mistborn.
