really enjoying this more than i expected to. been a while since a book made feel giddy. but it may be post-bridgertons2-feels’s influence.

i couldn't get past few pages in without tearing up and thinking bout my own dad. im givin this pause until im ready again.

just realised this has 1k+pages............

atleast this book does one thing where other books don't like to. these people communicate. like a lot.

good lord. this book is so unnecessarily long. but am way too in deep to get out of it. i'm also pissed off at something that's being said here. (lesbians are only attracted to non-men! ok?!) i realised this was published in 2006. got some very dated ideas/thinking.

there are stories i'd love for people to know more about. they're interactive and make your own choices type of stories. one of them is tale of crowns on itch.io. a rich fantasy world with middle eastern settings, written by a kurdish woman.

this is turning out to be everything and more i wanted in a contemporary romance book

reading this after count your lucky stars.. some similar themes but with different execution. more subtle

theyre impossibly cute. this is cute. gosh it has been awhile since a book manage to make me smile this long.

not her accidentally moaning watchin her roommate eat cake. 💀

i guess it’s great that she’s having self-realisation now. but it’s also at 90% into the book.

“Maybe it was time I started pushing myself forward.” When she realises she needs to be proactive in her own story. I jest.

The story’s cute. I feel strange reading about teenage characters talking about right now references. Not a bad thing. Just got reminded of my own age.

Okay we’re getting somewhere

well written, interesting, and feel for the girl. but the negative motivation is killin me. i just wanna shake her and say "stop it!"

giggly, twirly, and smiley - me reading this. also, 100% painfully relate to rachel's hard relationship with food.

still wrappin my head around our narrator's name is dorothy, a man-eater.

i could almost taste it with the way dorothy describes food so viscerally.

when a book has one of the worst covers in publication but the story's great :/

think i'm in the right headspace for this. so far im liking it. the writing kind of reminds me of some of my favourite late 20th century authors.

I'm taking a break after 'the' scene (I internally screamed)
