Is talking abt Smyrna and how he is so loyal to Big Brother, but is too smart.
He fully believes everything they tell him, he’s enthusiastic, but Winston knows that is not enough
Really illustrates that they just want followers
Not independent thinkers

Finished Chapter 2
Talks abt brainwashing children with propaganda
Raising soldiers
Making it a game
Reminds me of present day, of kids making games of war and gun violence and such

Js finished Chapter one.
Haven’t read a book with writing like this in a very long time.
Very enjoyable
Disgusting sexism-hope it’s used to drive a point
So intrigued by the plot
Glad I found the audiobook narrated by Steve Parker
