As others have noted, this book latches on from the first sentence and doesn't let go...ever. You'll definitely want the promised sequels. It is also true that the story takes a wild, risky departure from its main plot about halfway through, but I'll be damned if it doesn't work! Knott's story is full of vividly imagined characters (all flawed) and landscapes (most creepy). I even had a nightmare about the Limb. Fina
