Antigone has some great quotes. I also like the themes of divine power versus the kind we are directly exposed to plus loyalty and all. Great play so far. Honestly I think I was too tough on Oedipus Rex. All three Theban Plays are exceptional

Oddly enough, I think I preferred Oedipus at Colonus to Oedipus Rex. I think it may have been the action and pacing; it was more like the things I am used to reading/viewing. There were a few great quotes as well, though I cannot say the scenes were as striking

Just finished Oedipus Rex. It was beautiful, I think. It just lacked certain angles. Perhaps it was because I knew what was going to happen, but I felt it was obvious that he was so awful from the start. He, along with most everyone else seemed to be in denial. The concept of blindness and evil were very interesting, though. How evil can actions be if they are done unwittingly?

Lmfao pg. 69 and the footnote at the bottom! What a coincidence. Anyway, the description of horror is totally great and I can totally see the whole symbolism thing about lesbianism and illness. Also the drawings!!
