Girl that GAGAROONS in that last chapter. Vins dad popping up in the middle of the ball, and the plot twist at the end that her likely love interest is the hire to house venture were very shocking.

I’m sorry but I HATED chapter 25. I felt like so many things just happened out of nowhere, she just made a boat out of reeds and oxen’s out of dirt without using and incantations. I feel like the main character suffers from so much plot armor like it’s very convenient that a lot of these things just happen for her.

I was actually starting to enjoy the book, the plot was picking up and I had kind of learned to enjoy Agnieszka and the Dragons banter. However, they just kissed for the first time and I’m not featuring it, she’s a 17 y/o girl and he’s over 100; I would so much rather prefer that he just stay her mentor the entire story but I don’t think that’s what Novik is intending :/
