Okay. So- the start is something haha

(Also, I finished it like 3 hours ago almost hehe) Just wanted to mention for my future self.

The fact that we even at end of the book, we can still feel the loss and grief in the air, while they're now on the road to recover and to heal the things that they can heal.
Rebecca Ross knows what she did and she did it amazing. I loved it <3

Forever grateful for characters like Roman and Iris.
And I am so happy that my babies managed to hold onto eachother at the end. They'll be fine ♥️

...Iris losing her loved ones and Roman dealing with things that can only be managed and not treated. Painful but so true to reality. However, it tore but also showed hope, happy moments , the beautiful friendships that are not always highlighted, the ability of a human to hold onto the things that they love when everything around is absolutely trembling and breaking. BEAUTIFUL. Tragically beautiful.

The first book absolutely already owns me but this was nothing less. I think it did what it needed to do to build this world and progress with the story and it did all of it in such an incredible way. I have been connected to these characters from the first book and the way we got to see more of their broken personalities and the effect of the events that happened in the 1st book on them. It tore on my heart so much

Okay so- I don't even know from where I am supposed to begin from. But this duology, the impeccable writing, all of the characters, Iris and Roman, the magical connection through the typewriters, their heartfelt love for each other, how letters they write to eachother and the words that they describe eachother in- EVERYTHING HOLDS MY ABSOLUTE HEART!!
I loved it so much, everything about it.

My heart is literally in my throat right now. Like Literallyyy..
I am so scared. We are entering the final 20% of the book and the conflict. The tension levels are so high. I don't know what's gonna go down, what's gonna happen... I just know that I am TERRIFIED.
I want all of them safe. Please. I can't deal with any heartbreak. Not even a small one.

Something major is about to happen and I cannot uhhhh..
Why can't we let these two breathe some air. 😭

Also, Shane might be against Dacre but he can still very likely turn Roman in.. I can't. aaaaaa

Also Roman and Iris aaaaaaa- they met.

The tension is impeccable

Aaa.. I am loving this one as well and I am so happy about it.
Also, they're writing to each other and the way they've slipped back into the old habits. Roman is writing "yours" at the end of the letters like he used to do and she started writing "love" 😭♥️🤌🏻 (now she's writing Yours as well) I love the parallels and connections to the first one.

Rebecca Ross is such a clever author.

The way things are connecting but changing places?
First book Roman knew her identity, she didn't. This time it's Iris who knows, he doesn't.
Last book- he gave her his middle name while corresponding and this she gave him her middle name AAAA.. Love all of it.

Dacre wanted to keep Roman's memories away from him and that's why he gave him the other typewriter - but that's Iris's typewriter YESS 😭♥️

nooo. Plss I knew Roman will be writing from enemy's side now but directly seeing his name with a article praising Dacre- It is still a bullet to my heart. NO.

Roman crawling and trying to stay alive until last seconds of his life did something to me (AGAIN).

This man.. AAAAA. The way he has kept every single letter that Iris sent him- even the ones that were addressed to Forest.

My curse in life is that I might never know a man like ROMAN CARVER KITT..
The way he's not even thinking a second everytime it's about protecting her. He's literally her human shield, pushing her on ground and covering her when there are sounds, standing in front of her, spinning her so she's on safer side and he's close to grenade. Sir? What are you.

What.... I mean I knew Andrew wasn't the good man but oh my Godd!!! For most part, I wasn't expecting him to be torturing his wife so badly and making her out to be the delusional one.
She wasn't the crazy woman, she was just a normal person who got trapped

Soo- instead of running as fast as Millie could, she decided that she wanted to live with that psychotic woman. I also have been having this strong feeling that they're playing good cop, bad cop with her.
And noowww- she slept with that woman's husband ? And is living in the house still thinking Nina would just let this go? Itni warnings bh, she wants to ignore okay

Wdym, he followed her and became a war correspondent- even though he didn't had to. (I know it's a reread but still it's hitting me)

The way grandpa talked about his wife was so heartwarming always..
Also the end was really satisfying as well with how it wrapped up and showed Noah being all grown up and his daughter sharing the same interests as his father. Adorable. 🫶🏻
