When the author suggests reading the book slowly and with a small group, but you are listing to it an audible, are in Walla Walla, and go to a church with young parents or retired people. 🐒

First session was straight mash.

The first chapter started out with saying how great this course was and I didn’t believe it. Then it gave the symptoms of an immature and I felt like I got hit by a semi-truck full of conviction.

Maybe it’s because I’m listening to it on audible, but I’m having a hard time following everything

Past two chapters have been incredible. Was taking notes on every other sentence. This will be seen as classic very soon.

So far great historical insights told in storyline’s which are easy to remember. One negative is that the author said that Easter was named after a pagan holiday.

This is a theological exegesis of Sabbath and it’s incredible.

So far good insights into Persian, Greek, and Roman thought. It also talks about how scriptures began to be as venerable as the temple. Also the introduction of the scandal of the cross is incredible.

Book heavily leans towards anti-evangelism and gives very little room for grace. So far very little scripture. However the book offers some good criticism of evangelical history, but I’ll have to circle around later to hear the opposing side’s arguments.
