This book actually talks about sex as we are, we want to be, and the church people shame people for enjoying.
Compare and contrast with the feeble imitation by the wife of christian couple who have only had sex with each other, with the very similar name. All you need is the intro to see.

If I weren't so sorry for the women who read and believe this stuff, I'd be laughing my head off. How sad that someone who has only had sex inside of her marriage thinks that she knows all about sex, and goes around the world preaching about it. Ugh.

No matter what I've been through, at least it wasn't breast or uterine cancer. Peggy Orenstein isn't funny, but she is brave.

Had to return to the library, since it didn't grab me right now. I can see reading it in the summer, though.
