this is really good and a good allegory critism on communism and yadayada …. but the outright hate on women is so normalised its crazy. i get that it was unbelievably common when this was written and published but it irks me out alot. doesn’t completely ruin the book for me, i get that feminism was not common for men to practice 100 years ago - but still !

my brain registered like 20% pf what was said in chapter 11. he just kept blabbering on about historical people and artefacts and im sorry but i literally couldn’t care less. the only passage that was necessary was rhe one about his obsession with the painting and the historical people. everything else couldve been cut, spare me the history lesson for christ sake
