Okay, this book is finally moving. I’m loving that the author hasn’t rushed anything and the characters haven’t done a total 180 and just fall in love, they keep their characteristics and keep the enemies to lover feel! Took me out of a reading slump🤭

I’m loving this book so far! The main female character, Aida, is giving pick me energy but the book is still enjoyable. Not my fave sort of character style, very much giving ‘I’m not like other girls’. Still slays tho x

Okay, getting somewhere now. I have been ignoring the ages of the characters in this book, imagining they’re in their 20s cos I just can’t vibe with 17-18 year olds especially in this context😭🤣

I’ve read Birthday Girl by Penelope Douglas and I find her writing style to be frustrating at times. It’s definitely a slow burner, like I just want her to get to the good stuff already. The teenager/ high school era this is set in also throws me off but that’s personal preference.

Literally starting this just to see if I can finish it in a day because im sick right now and I don’t wanna finish my other book cos it ends on a cliff hanger🥹

I read a little bit of Satan’s Affair while reading this before the chapter where they go to the haunted house. Definitely helped to put some context onto Sibby.
