OK, I am enjoying this much more than Manacled. The alchemy and necromancy element is pretty cool. There is still an element of the handmaid's tale, but it fits better with this new world and it's not as intense and ongoing as Manacled. There are still issues with this though, many repetitive words and scenes, and I feel this could have done with another round of edits before release.

It's no secret I hated Manacled. I ordered this before I was aware it was a reworking of that fanfic, but decided to keep it and give it a go. Manacled is problematic, the Handmaids element just didn't make sense in the HP setting, and I have a issue with SA in general in novels. I understand there's still an element of that in this version, so I'm nervous about my decision to give this book a chance! We shall see!

I will never get tired of this story, I think this book in particular in ROTE is my favourite. It's so heartbreaking and emotional and yet so satisfyingly concluded.

I loved the first book, although I admit it was high on vibes and atmosphere as to why. Currently struggling to get drawn into this sequel, but only a few chapters in, so will give it at least 100 pages before I call it.

When I started reading this I was really drawn and thought it was going to be at least a 4 🌟 read, but the further I get the more I want to dnf. For me this is leaning far too heavily into overused tropes, copying heavily from similar books, and I'm finding it very predictable, thus struggling to continue. I guess now I'm this far in I should see how it finishes, but I doubt I will continue with the series.

I'm super excited to be reading my first eArc! Only a few chapters in but I'm intrigued and enjoying the atmosphere 😊

I am enjoying this, but struggling to read atm which is why it's taking me slow long. There's a lot of povs and I'm sooo tired atm it's hards to concentrate!

I had such high hopes for this, but I'm struggling to get invested. The world building is fine but I think it's just a bit slow paced and isn't fully grabbing me. This is my second attempt to read and so far, not so good 😔

So kinda still enjoying the overall plot development, but hating the spicy scenes more and more and skipping over these! But I have to say, god damn it, Rosalina has some serious stamina!

OK only a couple of chapters in and already with the smut, I shouldn't complain as it's obvious it was going to get worse (more) in each book, but I'm finding the language is pretty cringe in these scenes! I'm hoping the plot continues to be entertaining and well paced to at least get me through this one, as I already have it on audible. Remains questionable if I will complete the series.

Am I enjoying this? Yes I really am, but it's kinda tripy and dreamlike in its telling, and I'm really struggling bad with fatigue atm, so am maybe not fully grasping some of the significance of back story sections and dream sequences. We shall see how it progresses!

It's like an addiction! I was going to wait before reading more in this series, as the smut isn't my vibe, but the plot is good for a beauty and the beast retelling, and they are very easy to read/consume! As I'm fighting some extreme fatigue currently, this is the type of book I need right now!
