It’s like all the specifics of the book were placeholders they forgot to replace. Agnes, Dabne?? Celery? Puff the Magic Dragon as a nostalgic happy song? Seriously weird! Also, what year is this supposed to be set in? It’s modern times and yet reads like they’re in the 60’s, only wearing black when “in the city” and being in an obviously controlling and manipulative relationship and being fine with it?!
