Christie would be an insanely good author if she knew how to set a scene. I guess one could argue without setting it you allow the reader to do so, but I love good description.

I am so excited to see where this Vestara arc goes.

The way Luke handles Vestara (at times) is super annoying….but I’m sure it’ll pay off right?

Loving the political stuff. Using people for distraction, assassination attempts, attempting to install puppets etc.

I wish Christie would spend more time on important story elements. There was just a climactic happening and it was just glossed over so quickly. I wanted to spend more time in that moment considering how huge it was…

I don’t want to be harsh but the writing just seems so quick and underdeveloped.

Out to find out if Christie is just a good storyteller and an okay writer. So far this book is…okay.
