I've left the only non-audiobook I'm reading at work, so on with the next. I received this as a gift from I. It promises magic, if nothing else.

oh man you know when a protagonist does the opposite of what you want but it is totally in character

I remember enjoying this: trying it out on audiobook as I saw the sequel available on audible and I never managed to find a hard copy of it

so far I feel like this could've just as easily been set in Chicago and save all the map drawing / name making / world building but maybe it'll pay off later? otherwise OK.

book received as gift at some point and has cool cover font so....summer read? stay tuned --

this is so enjoyable

now we've got explicit references to pride and prejudice

I'm reminded of pretty little liars -- I'm peering into the lives of super rich people, plus the added lens of inter Asian family politics (minus the violence, so far)

I remember I did not like this book as much the first read through

The more I read it the more this is one of my favourites -- the characters are drawn so we'll! umbridge is so evil! Harry has such teenaged emotions!!

Re-listening to the audiobook (Jim Dale)!

I found the central mystery slowed a bit in the middle but the plot is picking up the pace and going interesting places again

I've officially invested enough time in this book. DNF.

I feel the strong desire to watch Memento.

This is the first time I've read this book!

I'm enjoying this, but not enough to stop me from putting it down for a week
