Bentham and Kant are autists, and everyone gobbles up this bullshit, Jesus Christ fucking Mary. Hope the irony of the author constantly idolizing Hume, but constantly seeming to insist on transgressing the is/ought gap will be solved, or this will have been a big waste of time. Also, the things the author says liberals do, i.e. ignoring the communal ethics, are to my mind exactly the things cons do.

Regulating the import/export ratio of countries (making sure that a county like Germany doesn't export a great deal more than it imports giving it a huge and potentially damaging surplus) by means of some kind of token is interesting, but calling it a "chit" is kind of unfortunate, to say the least :-)

It's a pretty slow read, not because it's very difficult but because it's pretty repetitive. Even still: very insightful.

Rereading after perhaps fifteen years. Was afraid I would find it dull and immature, but I still love it.
