I am thrilled it has DUAL narrators!!! Hell yeah

DNF— this is just not the book for me. The main character, Madeline Maddie Mads whatever the hell she gets called depends on the person/time is very unlikeable. I’m constantly confused if she’s 18 or 26. The love interest Jasper is also meh. I’m having a hard time believing this storyline in its entirety.

I’m really having a hard time believing that our FMC is 17/18 years old and feels this strongly about her family bookstore closing while also having the angst of a woman who is at least 24 years old. Her anger towards the competing bookstore and the employee who works there just doesn’t match for her age range in the slightest.

First chapter was slowwwww until what I imagine was the final three paragraphs. This has the potential of DNF
