Can we talk about the fact that after everything that Jennette McCurdy has been through with her mom alone she still manages to defy her after she’s gone? Small “spoiler” for her memoir if you haven’t read it, but she talks about herself being called “forlorn” by her mother when she smiles without showing her teeth. And that’s the same kind of smile she decided to show on the cover of her book.

The audacity of talking back to your children, who are grown enough to handle themselves, that have a right to privacy baffles me

I’m about to go on a big trip the first week of June and the plane ride there is really long. I’m open to any and all recommendations of books that will keep me hooked till the end but will also last me a while!! I’m estimating the plane ride is like 10 hrs or so plus like a 2-3 hr connecting so l maybe I’ll bring 2-3 books? Idk, I’m honestly just here looking for recs 😂
