I thought I’d wince at the video game comparisons to real life but they’re actually very apt and poetic. For example, when she wants to be strong in her real life but gives into impulses while playing Metal Gear, paraphrasing, she says “Solid Snake’s main antagonist is Liquid Snake. Liquid Snake is made of the same genetic material.. who is your own biggest enemy if not yourself?”
