Wow, this books is a lot. The fmc and mmc are just being total turds to each other. Like take a breath you too. Just feels very unrealistic especially for how nice and hospitable Scottish people are. The portrayals were all wrong.

This is a lot of repetitive nonsense. Gabriel tries to tell everyone what to do. Everyone ignores him. He’s drunk and swears a lot. They get cornered at the each place they visit. There’s a fight. There is very little preparation or communication between the party. Gabriel gets his ass kicked usually getting his ribs crushed. Horses die. It’s hopeless. Then one of the female saves the day. Rinse and repeat.
