Paused at 42% - Maybe I’m just in a reading slump but I’ve been forcing myself through.
After reading some reviews I’m pressing pause. The development between Chloe and Inés feels forced. Too many mentions of the others soft skin over anything else, it’s very repetitive and feels like it would have benefitted from one final edit.

I do want to know what happens when I’m in a better mood for it though.

There were parts of this I really enjoyed but not enough to keep going. Too many unlikable characters, not a clear enough narrative. I don’t even know what the plot of this was or where it was going but after they left France I didn’t really care. I hate dnfing after I’ve made it so far but once I started skim reading I decided to stop wasting my time.

How am I already crying??? 😭🫠
