This is a much better Benny book than the last. Much more focused, Benny's voice and behavior feel more like the character I've grown to love.

Totally feel the how do you deal with introducing pronouns to family and friends who have known you before you used those pronouns, but also feeling so much better with those pronouns. Or the pain of being misgendered, or the challenges of presenting your queerness to the world.

This was a great comic. I'm glad I spied it on a friend's "Want to Read" list.

I identified less with the section where e was discussing eir asexuality, but the conversation with eir aunt about being genderqueer--where the aunt says she sees AFAB trans and gender queer folks as "a kind of misogyny" feels far too familiar. Ugh. It's like anti-trans Twitter, but in person. :-(

Well, that was more relatable to my time growing up than I expected.

There is so much cringe-y early 80s racism, sexism and ableism in this book. Like, I don't doubt it was unintentional, at the time, but... damn.

I'm determined to finish this overly pricey audiobook, but it's beginning to feel like hate-reading.

Anyone interested in the story (and able to ignore the retained magical-negro narrative) should stick with the less cringe-y graphic novels.

I've wanted to enjoy this book, but I'm finding some character voices annoying, and the story convoluted and dragging out.

Stephen Cole is always hit or miss for me. Sadly, this one seems like it's a miss.

Wish I had fewer pages left to get through.

Jonathan Bunney's "The Eye of the Beholder" plays with the idea of lockdown and what we find important during a pandemic. While enjoyable, it feels a bit incomplete, and could have been expanded further.

Katy Manning's forward is super sweet.

Jon Arnold starts the fiction out with a lovely piece that examines the nature of aging TARDISes.
