the author is a a queer asian man who went to ucla and moved to SF post-grad. reading about his experiences and finding the parallels we share, feels really empowering — it’s affirming to be seen and perceived so accurately.

There's an obvious pattern with the topics/ themes Ishiguro likes to explore. Maybe because I've seen this concept repeat in other films and narratives, I wasn't too surprised with how things played out. Although the plot itself was a bit predictable, I did appreciate the world building in the first half of the book. I like Ishiguro's style of writing, but I wished certain things we're explored / explained more.

reaching last part of the book but why do i still have so many unanswered questions .....

ishiguro might be one of my fav authors, something about his writing style always got me hooked

like i get where she's coming from . . . but she frustrates me....
