This book is very good! Raif and Drey are a great duo

So good to be back with Romulus, Brennus and Tarquinius. Fabiola has grown on me so much! Also... Sextus is killing people with only one eye. ONE EYE!!!!!!

Slower book, but thought-provoking dialogue. That scene with the drover camp was one of my favorite scenes throughout all of Malazan

So far Tehol and Bugg are overhyped. Comedy is really good in this book!

Too early to write down who my favorite character will be, but I know a lot of people hype up Tehol and Bugg. I’m hoping this one is as good as HOC!

This book was phenomenal! Erikson did a great job at highlighting the theme of indifference and the way it can change the way a person acts.

Amazing start to such a popular series in fantasy. Really loved the themes of being chained. So many of the characters are chained to something. For some it was an idea, and others it was a person or a role.
