Funniest book I've read in a while.

The writing style has improved a bit, but the plot still remains relatively predictable. I do like how the author jumps between character POV's here or there though, as it ads a bit of insight.

Despite the predictability of some of the plot aspects, this book has a bit more emotional impact than I was expecting. It's going to be a long haul, but I definitely think it'll be worth it. Simon is not as masterful an author as his grandfather, but that's a tall order and I won't hold him to it.

So far, this one is an improvement from the last novel. We're actually tying things together instead of creating new openings, which is really what a series needs to do by it's third novel, not its sixth. But hey, at least we're getting there.

Have to read this one for class. Isn't bad so far but wow does this writer like to hear himself talk; you can see it in his narration.

This book is probably going to end up as a DNF. The writing is atrocious. I spend more time looking up old ship diagrams to figure out what words mean than I do actually reading. The author also refuses to use quotation marks, instead using the dash method, making the dialogue hard to read. There's also really no main conflict yet. Kind of boring.

If I spent as much time browsing Goodreads as I did actually reading, I'd probably be on the next book by now, but alas! Goal is to power through and finish this book by the end of the week. Wish me luck!

Another week, another pitiful amount of pages. But I'm getting there! Plot is definitely ramping up and a love triangle is forming. Perhaps I can power through this weekend!

This book is very interesting, but boy am I just slogging through it. If I had a solid hour to read per day I'd be finished with it and halfway through the sequel!
