Nejhorší argument, na který jsem v této knize dosud narazil (strana 67):
> Bylo prokázáno, že operantní podmiňování se naruší v okamžiku, kdy je u experimentálních zvířat odstraněna kůra mozku. Klasické podmiňování však zůstává zachováno. Ukazuje to, že pro emoce je potřebná kůra mozku, emoce totiž motivují a řídí operantní učení.

Kniha obsahuje stručný úvod do integrated information theory, mého oblíbeného modelu vědomí. Snaží se vysvětlit vědecké poznatky zjednodušenou formou. Mám dojem, že sama Drtinová moc nerozumí tomu, co jí Horáček vysvětluje, a v neinformovaném čtenáři nelze čekat větší míru porozumění.
