Plot and pace shifting gears very nicely as the end nears. Let's see how this ends.

Pretty intriguing so far, even though the cast of characters faithfully follow the template. But some good world-building, with Mieville's Perdido Street Station as the fairly obvious source of inspiration as far as Ararat's geography is concerned.

Very well written (of course!) and I'm finding the mystery quite engaging. But there's too much interference by way of Cormoran and Robin's personal lives / problems. Not liking this hijacking of the mystery. Let's just get on with it, can't we?

Really liked the way the siege of Harfleur was handled in such great detail. Looking forward to the endgame at Agincourt.

Such a deviously delightful plot and such vivid characters... Loving every ounce of it so far.

Only a third of the way in and it's already getting tedious. Something interesting has to happen very quickly for me to stay engaged...
