The fight of will with Saito was brief and I think now there will be the bridge building. It's incredible the absolute will of colonel Nicholson, his faith in martial rules and hierarchy, almost a fanatic, but a charismatic figure for all his men.

A compelling story, with a good pace, even though I'm at the beginning.
Good description of the police procedures.

I read some chapters, but I love this series. There is adventure and action and the story is told with a touch of humor.

Finally, I started another chapter in this series. I didn't like so much the previous book, but this looks promising. There are a lot of subplots here and this is good. Unfortunately every chapter has 90% life of the single charcater and 10% story.

First novel. The tone of the novel is as I remembered: humorous, adventurous and sarcastic. A good return!

Too much self reflections. The background is sci Fi, but the story is taking a complete different direction. :(

An example of old sci fi. I hope it's not too dated.
