we could do without the modern account all together. it belittles the rest of the story

the writing was so good in the meat of the story. i commend the various voice differences but compromising quality just makes it hard to get through as a reader

god this ending is so rough! who wants to get to know new characters in the last twenty pages?? no. i’m rushing through to get it over with and missing stuff and it’s the authors fault for not doing this better. the expectation of the flow of a story is stronger than what’s really going on
