All of the characters are so messed up I love it

The language is so exquisite and personal, filled to the brim with as much communication of experience as the the author could muster. This book is looking like a 5 stars.

It seems like after laying the basic groundworks for his theory at like 41% it doesn't make much more progress. Now it's mostly a very long elaboration on different dream interpretation phenomena with many examples and not much substance.

But I promised myself I'd actually start finishing books, so I guess that's what I'm gonna do ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
If nothing, it improves my vocabulary and overall eloquence.

I love it when serious authorities reveal silly parts like his Hannibal phase as a child(Hannibal is quite awesome tho so no one blames you).

I think I'm gonna dnf, it was nice but the plot is really messy and I really wanna read some more interesting or influential things. Thoughts?

Bit of a ramble already:

First of all, wow the writing is very complex and witty. Second, too many things that are quotable. So far the first guy finished his speech with quite a bit of sexism and overall "don't be horny" vibes. I love looking into these interactions, how these people lived and thought of the world; puts things into perspective.

Maybe it's my own bias but it definitely feels like the author puts effort into creating a morally gray landscape and tone.
