Rec me a book that made you cry

I’ve read a few other WWII books, but this book is so much more different than the others. It’s potent and real, not sugarcoating anything. It tells of war as it is, with all of its facades and truths, all the terrors that happened with the Jews and collaborators… it’s so painful to read this
