I definitely judged this book by its cover and title. I’ve been pleasantly surprised.

So much devastation held within one page.

Only 20 percent through the book so far and it’s already 5/5 stars.

So far it feels like this book is comprised of beat to death dystopian cliches with “front teeth clicking” “leather jacket” “16th birthday” and “swear jar” peppered repeatedly in between.

I will finish it, as I’m already so far in and I find the mystery aspect intriguing.

I am an hour into the audiobook. The writing and world building are great. The concept is fascinating. But due to personal reasons, like underestimating how much of an absolute wimp I am, I cannot finish it.

After deciding that this book was not for me, I returned it and read the rest of the plot on Wikipedia. Thank god I put it down, because even reading vague details about how it ends makes me sick to my stomach!
