Delightful , lost count of how many times I laughed out loud. While leaving the library , I held the door for a woman who was entering . She praised and book and said her husband is from Sandwich MA!

I give up . I see the appeal of the book, appreciate the characters and references to history, BUT given current events in the real world (dishonesty, cruelty, violence) I need to be reading something lighter right now.

Brilliant , but a bit to long for me these days.352 pages left unread.

Also, wishing it had more maps because the geography is so important to the history.
