Struggling to figure out the setting of this book cause the cover and some of the descriptions like ‘lady’, ‘gentleman’, ‘hat’ (who wears hats nowadays?) and ‘long coat’ suggest that it’s kind of a historical setting but then you have technology like torches and fridges plus Lucy literally wears fucking leggings lmao
