Why does everyone hate this book it’s so good 😩😩😩

I think corrick hates rian so much because rian represents someone he wants to be: a peacemaker, a leader worth his followers’ affection/loyalty/trust, and a ruler that doesn’t have to bring his hand down with bloody force. It’s obvious that rian has qualities Tessa wants in to see in corrick. Corricks inner conflict with himself is the ultimate man vs self and corrick is so real for that
