kinda irritated rn bc the plot is so nonsensical. kiva doesn’t even want to execute/believe in the rebel’s cause like she lists off a million reasons why she could never betray or hurt the Valentus family and then finishes with a “but I hAVE to betray them” when she totally doesn’t and is just making stuff up eyeroll the first book is so much better

literally all you have to do is marry Jaren, Kiva. no betrayal needed then you’ll be queen 😐
