Ok getting interesting

Girl fuck Alex literally and then tell me what happened in Croatia ohmygod

The way poppy describes Alex is that of someone so deeply in love. It’s almost weird. Poppy is giving extreme millennial core and the conversations definitely show that too

Brought this book to read on the cruise. Heard good things. Extremely slow, intentionally vague about the event that led to their relationship souring to the point of mild annoyance. Tilly seems like the main character is head over heels for Alex. Idk. Will continue reading tho

Picking this back up. Really struggling to read it. It’s very wordy and because of that and the writing style I’m finding it difficult to understand. I want to finish this book but I may need to put it down again

So far I really enjoy Evelyn’s character but I’m finding Monique’s character written poorly. She’s slow to understand Evelyn and can’t seem to say the right thing to her. She’s constantly misunderstanding Evelyn. If I were Evelyn I’d be worried that I wasn’t being heard properly and she’d get my story wrong

Some people are a little too honest when writing memoirs/biographies…. As much as I understand the impact of grief I was hoping to read a story centered around hiking the PCT

Currently it’s 1999 in this book and yet someone mentioned an iPod LOL about 8 years early

Getting a little weird at times. Leaves out details and then brings them up later randomly. Timeline is a bit hard to follow.

A lot of fluff and American history. It’s interesting but I’m more interested in Emma Gatewood

Initial impressions - not great. Spends a lot of time talking about the men she’s slept with. I just want to hear about the adventure
