A remarkable story told unremarkably. Tiresome style that makes Grandma Gatewood seem stupid and backwards. Just another country bumpkin among the hillbillies of Appalachia. Instead of the truly remarkable woman she was.
I’ll finish the book because she is worth it and in spite of the author.
