I'm getting Princess Diaries vibes from this book and I love it 😂.

Having Hoid as a narrator adds so much more Wit (pardon the pun) to the story!

This is rather close to home...

The misogyny in this book is truly something else. There is no consent in this book at all.

I just hope that any Westerner who read this book also interacted with someone from the MENA reagion or read something else to have a balanced view of us.

Why have we gone from murder investigation, with its intrigue and psychodrama to a tedious narrative of the every day life of a 15 year old boy 😂.

Dovstoyevsky's portrayal of human emotion, character and turmoil is unparalleled

The Orthodox Christianity is at the core of this book's essence.

To am Orthodox reader such as myself it makes the text so much more warm and familiar.

Imagine you see your estranged brother, whom you have never spoken to at length in the pub and think 'I really wanna get to know this guy'

You sit with him.

He then launches himself into a 60+ page monologue which includes a convoluted thesis he has written.

Clearly, interrupting or exiting conversations didn't exist back then 😂😂😂😂.

We are 60 pages deep bro leave the chat ffs

And so this author, like many others joins the ranks of Muslim North African authors who can't quite create a convincing Christian character.

One of the worst audiobooks I've listened to do far. The reader sounds like he has a mouth full of gravel and has one of the the worst American 'British' accents of all time.

Also very weird in notation and pace.

Story is amazing and fight scenes as well as political intrigue are sensational so far!

I'm already so invested 😭👏🏼
