Obsessed with how causally this is written. It’s like a meandering conversation with an easily distracted friend sometimes but I’m into it. Masad doesn’t spend too much time fretting over details, and that usually my thing but this time it works; also; opening the book with Maggie’s girlfriend going down on her makes this an instant classic, personally <3

I get why they’re making this into a film. Probably going to finish around they time they start production because every chapter is so viscerally painful and I’m weak lol

Mr. Baldwin has always been one of my favourite writers. Nothing I love more than a run on sentence with a sprinkling of commas and em dashes to add that extra spice to a sentence. And oh, he does it so well. And of course his easy command of language and ability to weave worlds. I’ve only just begun but don’t want this to end.

fran ross is quick and witty, all my plans to finally go to bed have been dashed, as I now want to finish this book asap.
