FDHJKFHDKS this is the fastest i've ever DNFed a book,.. 6 pages in and the line "I've never seen a dick but I know I love them" following a a whole paragraph of homophobia is certainly... an interesting way to start a book!

erm... im starting to feel like maybe spending $1.25 on this was $1.25 too much...

i think the author is trying to imply that her aunt haddd incest sex? odd...unless i misread it... "aunt jill slept with the mayor. [...] i should have mentioned my grandfather was the mayor" ??

not much can happen in 30 pages, i guess. it's not bad, it's a bit hard to follow, and i have zero emotions but ￣\(ツ)/￣ so it goes

my first venture into "adult" contemporary fiction... i DID buy this from goodwill bc i flipped through it and saw the word "cock" several times and im a sucker for being critical of other people's erotica, even if brief and generic :3

ooh :/ do not love how we went from potentially wholesome story ab overcoming to... graphic descriptions of suicide followed by an overuse of the T slur :/

um.. what the fuck? that was a lot of information to put in 20 pages and for it to all be... irrelevant, basically? im going to finish the book because im close to the end but i am. not happy

in 5 very short chapters, miles managed to:
make his friend drive over for a 5 minute talk, get together with eliza, eat her out, break up with her, and have a psychotic break.

while im invested in the plot, i HATED how the last 5 chapters were plagued with "elizas tiny waist" and just how small eliza is. also. mega points off for introducing a character with my dead name. :)

HOW DO YOU FUMBLE A GIRL IN LESS THAN 3 PARAGRAPHS I DONT UNDERSTAND!!! anyway... i feel like theres good plot development but at the same time there are so many missing pieces and holes that easily could have been filled had it not been for the earlier filler chapters. the timing of the last 5 chapters was really weird and hard to follow, but i AM invested, so theres something good at least.

SO LIKE. it has me kicking my feet and giggling to a degree. however. i still care very little for miles. still to many uses of "fuck" and hes also. kind of an ass. but im invested in the story enough to keep going so... there's that

i cant help but feel like i would like this more if there werent random uses of "fuck" in every sentence... and this is coming from me...

man. its just such a hard read, and not bc of the subject matter. the way its written gets worse with each chapwr, the dialogue makes me want to rip my eyes out and overall reads like the author learned about curse words laat week and feels the need to use them in every other sentence... plot wise... slow but managable i suppose

so like i feel bad for the guy, i rly do, i just cannot find myself empathizing with him at ALL :/

cannot lie. i hate the writing style so bad but im determined to finish ONE (1) book this year
