That was a long first chapter.

This book is going to be absolutely insane isn’t it?

Oh my god the 40+ pages I had to read of “The Book”‘ were infuriatingly boring. But wow... was not expecting what happened after that...

I’m kind of glad I didn’t read this in high school because I know that if I did, I would have hated it.

Julia is absolutely wild...

Wow... this book is intense, but a good intense. There is so much to dissect!

Jesus Christ... WTF is wrong with these children?

I am FINALLY reading this book!

I’m ashamed to say that this is the first August Wilson play I’ve read. I haven’t seen any of his work performed on stage either.

This book got boring real quick.

I’ve been so busy I forgot I had yet to finish it. Hopefully this week though!

Pearl is absolutely wild... can’t believe I have under 100 pages left!

This book gets super confusing to read at times, but I’m still enjoying it an intrigued. I also guessed right on who the father was.

There are parts of this book that really draw me in, but there are also parts (like the last chapter I just read) that make me say, “Why should I care?”

This book is a slow burn, but a good slow burn. The imagery in it alone is worth the read.

Very intrigued so far

I’ve always wanted to read this book ever since I watched “Easy A” with Emma Stone. Besides the entire preface being way too long, I’m very intrigued so far.

An-Mei Hsu’s story is heartbreaking.

I plan on finishing this book by tomorrow! (Hopefully.)

I have no idea why, but for some reason I just can’t get into this book. I’m gonna try and finish it though!

Finally at the “Sunset Boulevard” part and ugh. I feel so bad for Patti having to deal with bullsh*t!

This is such a good book. Everyone who worked on this show deserved better.

How I wish I had a time machine. I would have loved to be there for that first preview.

I can’t help but feel sorry for so many people involved. There was so many times where the people involved were blind sided by decisions or changes that they weren’t told about until we’ll after they happened.
