Another hard book to put down. Reading this book, it hits you what a truly important year 1994 was for open wheel racing.

I like the "Tar Baby" analogy Symonds uses for the North African and Italian campaigns.

This is an extraordinarily hard book to put down!

Nice to see a mention of Admiral Leahy; he's an often overlooked figure in WW2.

Not a bad read, I hope to have a review out in a few days.

So far an interesting social, organizational, and operational history of Amateur Radio.

My enjoyment of this book is being limited by its total lack of maps (I understand the print version does have maps). Yes, Kindle maps usually suck but they could have put them online as was done with "Three Days in June." It's hard to visualize what's happening in a battle or campaign in geography you're not familiar with without maps.

Given the current situation in Ukraine, this is a timely as well as an interesting (so far) read, as the author posits that the primary cause of the Crimean War was religion.
