There are definitely parallels between the Election on 1828 and the Election on 2016 as well as between Andrew Jackson and Donald Trump. There is much to be learned here.

Very informative, but the inclusion of maps illustrating proposed border changes and the regions being discussed with the relevant text would make them easier to visualize and understand.

This is the second book in a row that I'm reading on the Treaty of Versailles. So far this one seems considerably more detailed and informative.

Greene at Guilford Courthouse reminds me of Raymond Spruance at the Battle of Midway. Greene had to protect his Army just as Spruance had to protect his fleet. Both were criticized for a lack of aggressiveness, but losing their army and fleet respectively would have been calamitous to the overall wars as a whole. Arguably, both made the right decisions.
