This book starts off at a slower pace but.. Don't most good books? You need to start somewhere to build up to a fantastic story. I appreciate how Mary E Pearson has taken the time to introduce us to each character.

Light-hearted read.. Entertaining and easy to follow. It's one of those books you don't have to think about.. I was needing something like that. It's totally filling that void that I so desperately needed.

Oh this book! How can so many people love the darkling after the truth has come to light?! He's a horrible person! Leigh bardugos writing has grown in the 300 pages I've read.. I can't wait to see how much better the next books will be!!

If only we were all so lucky to have a guy like Mal in our lives.. Love them together <3

Lindsay does a beautiful job at painting a picture in your mind.. I can imagine this story playing out right I front of my eyes.

This series has SO much potential.. I can't wait to see where Leigh Bardugo takes these characters. Such an adventure this book takes you on!

This book is so strange.. I have never read anything like it before. Very strange, Neils writing is definitely on a platform of its own.

This book has so many layers.. It's like a party for your senses. You know that you are reading a good book when you forget that you are reading all together. I can see why everyone loves the darkling.. Their chemistry is undeniable, right off the bat!

I feel like this book is just getting started.. An adventure that has yet to be told. I'm looking forward to it :-)

This book is strangely fascinating. The writing is almost juvenile, but in a way that keeps you wanting more. Kind of like an accident; as a passerby, you can't help but look and stare.. Even though you really shouldn't.

SO good. SOOOO good. I felt completely wrapped up in the story.. Intertwined as if I were a character. I can't wait to see where this story takes me!!

I've only just started this book but I can't help but feel like a little girl watching her favourite fairy tale unfold. I have a feeling I am going to love this series!

Neil Gaimans writing style is unlike anything I've ever read before... He literally paints you into his picture

I can tell why this book series is getting so much hype. The writing is freaking addictive. It's not very lyrical or beautiful or unique, but there is something about it that makes you continue turning the pages.

I wouldn't typically pick up this "kind" of book.. It's a little bit out of my comfort zone. I'm ok with that though! A little bit of spice in life mixes things up! I have been hearing such great things about this series, I decided to give it a try.. I'm liking it so far! The writing it totally addicting.

You start off the book, barely able to see yourself attached to these character.. However, somewhere along the way.. You find yourself rooting for them. The character development from page 1 to now is kind of special <3
