❤️.. That's all I have to say about my love for this graphic novel.

There is something about this book.. I have a feeling it's really going to effect me. There are so many things that August talks about that resonates with me.. I've heard this book is incredible; and I can see why. I have a feeling that this would be wonderful as required reading for all kids in school. You get a peak into the mind of a boy who just wants the same rights, equality, and privilege, as anyone else.

I knew somewhat about the history of what African Americans had to deal with (from what I learned in school/have read) but I didn't realize the extent of just how bad it was; until I read this graphic novel. It makes me sick that people were (and still are) treated this way.. I don't understand how someone's skin colour can harbour so much hate - it makes no sense!

I've heard so many amazing things about this book.. I'm excited to see what all of the hype is about :-)

There hasn't been a Mitch albom book I didn't like.. I have a feeling this one won't be any different!

I resonated with the beginning of this book so much.. Comparing talk about death as an adult to be like the reverse of Santa clause as a child. I think I'm going to love this book!

This book starts off so confusing.. But, I can tell I'm going to love it. It already reminds me of one of my favourite shows; fringe!

This book is everything I need right now.. So many aw-ha moments.

I am loving where this is going!! I need to pick up more books from chimamanda.. The writing sucks you right in!

I suggest if you're going to read this, you keep a dictionary near by... Some of these words are complicated! With that being said.. I'm finding the way he writes to completely suck you in!
