The story moved past Christmas around 60%, and is now only focused around one character, who I like how Franzen keeps you moving around liking and disliking them.

Set on December 23, 1971, it's a perfect Christmas read. Gives me some nostalgia for my own youth group days a couple decades later, and makes me feel a little wistful for when church didn't have anything to do with Republican politics. I like the characters, they're both complex and relatable; I feel like I've been hanging out with them.
