I forgot to add this the other day when I started it. Honestly I wasn’t sure if it would “take” as they say, but it did, just after the second chapter. Probably should have started Clavell’s “Asian Saga” with Shogun, but opted to go with the World War 2 era novel, as it was available for loan, and I could get into it without any preconceived ideas to the characters or their motivations.

I haven’t read this in a while, so glad to have found my copy while organizing some old notebooks the other day. One of the things I live about this book, is that you can read it in about the same amount of time it takes to watch the 1976 movie. They take different directions near the end.
Anyways, i’m gonna put Bowie’s Low on the turn table and sit in my fav chair and dig in.

After Merrick I need to go back and revisit my fav novel in the Vampire Chronicles.
when pur author was younger and hungrier and just putting the name Lestat near a title wasn’t going to promise a best seller.
also its arguably my fav in the series, a bit of retconning of Louis’ tale, or perspective some might say.. anyways. lets get into it.

down to the final pages and its finally gotten interesting, Sadly I doubt anything comes of it.. mostly because I’ve read books further down the line .. but whhoooo hoo hoo the “Arms Up in the Air” final moments.
nice to see Lestat awake again. he has slept through how many stories now?

I really wish the Reveant concept had been expanded upon rather then forgotten as the series went along.

its nice getting to know a younger Seldon, but so far it really hasn’t added much to the foundation mythos beyond trying to tie together Asmiov’s other two big series into this one making them all the same timeline/history of the empire and Earth + Robots..
very enjoyable read though, and if I was reading in chronological and not loose published order would likely be more concerned for our hero(s)
