oh man, this is a DENSE book. I honestly think it would have benefitted from being 3rd person perspective and judging from the comments I'm not the only one.

But! It's not bad, genuinely. It's just very dense like Name of the Wind Dense

I’ll say though 3rd perspective would have been better. God, why does it seem like everyone is allergic to using 3rd?

The pacing is slow, but this political drama is engaging and complex.

Spy networks, warring populations and socioeconomic classes/castes. (Well right now it’s brinkmanship but tensions are HIGH.)

Ok ch 41 is frustrating but I still like this

Okay, this is sick. Yes, Mira can be little indecisive and tentatively when it comes to getting answers, but I have to remember. She is 18, her dad is a cop, her mom vanished and things are WEIRD. Tbh, I'd probably be freaking TF out and making even worse decisions at 18.
