I'm so conflicted about this. Part one was punishing and should have been CUT. Part two is actually really good? It's engaging and could have stood on its own. The pacing is better, the wartime narrative actually feels authentic and not derivative. Man, this is frustrating.

it's not bad, but the pacing is punishing. Will probably pray for someone on the romantasy reddit to trade me the B&N Belladonna for the FL copy of this

See this is nice the FMC might be a little unlikable but at least it feels like that’s by design and she’s interesting!!!

Seregil and Alec are so tender to each other ;; w ;; god I should not have spaced out this many years between these books
